Copied and pasted from the garage journal, As it only seems you can get parts for them from the states, But if you know anywhere in the uk then let me know, I will be repainting it etc and putting it back to it's former glory Just picked this Black & Decker valve Refacer up. Info i have about it: Type FE originally it was in a college and i found it at the local scrap yard and gave £10 for it, He said it's wasnt working the college said? But there is no plug on the lead to the motor, There is no forward motion from the bearings in the motor so that must be ok? It doesnt have the valve stem tool though so i need to look for one. Doesnt have the fluid pot and no pump unless it's underneath the machine??? But i have the bracket for the fluid pot though. It doesnt have the guard for the switches either, Or the belt:lol_hitti There is forward and backward motion on the valve stem grinding part of the tool.
The Degree bed moves but the other bed doesnt that holds that grinding stones, Also there is like a grinding on the front handle when you turn it?? Im in the uk But does anyone know any engineering places that will ship to the uk who stock parts for this machine?? Also does anyone have any break down diagrams or instruction book???

Wolf were about as unhelpful as can be when I asked about it. It's a 60's or 70's machine. It was still listed in 1988[when I got it] in some tool suppliers catalogs, it was something like 3 grand!

It had been replaced with a new one, it needed very little to be working like new, things like bushings on the valve drive pulleys as they all wobbled and vibrated. You don't happen to have the rocker arm tool? Make sure there are no vibrations from anything and they do a luvely job. If you do the seat and valve you shouldn't need to use grinding paste. Bit of blue to check them and that's it. If you can loosen the jib strip's the slides should all come apart easy enough. The forward and backward of the collet goes when you stick a valve in and tighten it.
The grinding head slide is set to depth of cut and the other one[that moves the valve] is the one that moves the valve past the stone, they need to be quite freely moving and I spose it's possible for them to get grit in them. Surprisingly mine had no grit in the slides, yet the tank[the base] must have had a gallon of grinding wheels in it! It saw considerable action, but the wear in the slides is practically non existant. The pump[coolant] on mine is gear driven from one end of the motor, a shaft goes down verticly to a little pump in the base; but mine is obviously cooled and has a base to catch the coolant, that isn't so obvious. First place I would look for a pump is under the belt cover[well on mine it's a belt cover], over the side of the spindle that doesn't have a wheel on it.
